Forums are back!!

After one month of inactivity due to webhosting datacenter issues, i'm glad to announce that the Dragon Eye Crew Guild Forums are now back online.

It began as a database server problem caused by an excessive load from every web hosting account that uses DB backend, such as Blogs, Community Portals, and specially Forums. Somehow the guys at the datacenter screwed up their MySQL servers, downgrading it's version from 5.0.10 to 4.1 and thus causing problems with the PHP scripts that were written for MySQL 5 (SMF, which is this Forum's software, among them).

When they fixed the MySQL servers, they also broke the way how DNS names are assigned to each web hosting account, making websites unavailable for long periods of time. So, i've decided to move the DEC and FD forums to another, more stable and reliable host that allows remote access to their DBs, so i can keep a daily, automated backup of both the database and the forum files.
